Dynamic Calendar
Hey there!
I made a similar calendar last year, but had a viewer on YouTube ask about a more dynamic month-by-month version.
I love when y’all reach out and ask for stuff, so I was eager to put this together…
This is a tutorial on how to create a dynamic monthly calendar in Google Sheets, and I think you're going to love it!
I walk you through the process of setting up data validation, converting text to months, and using the weekday function and conditional formatting to create a fully functional, customizable calendar. It's like having your own personal assistant, but without the coffee runs and small talk.
Here are some of the highlights:
🗓️ Select any year and month, and watch the calendar update automatically
📅 Use data validation to ensure only valid dates are entered
🔢 Convert text to months using a simple formula (and a bit of Google magic)
🌈 Apply conditional formatting to make your calendar pop with color
Whether you're a spreadsheet pro or just getting started, this tutorial will be interesting to you. Plus, you'll save a ton of time by not having to manually update your calendar every month.
So, check out the full video here. You won't be disappointed. And if you are, well, at least you'll have a shiny new calendar to help you schedule your complaint email. 😉

P.S. Yes, in case you didn’t notice at the top of the email, I do have another YouTube channel (RunTired) about marathon and ultramarathon running. 😀😀
P.P.S. If you have a special request for a Sheets or Excel project - something you’re having trouble with or need explained further - reply to this email and let me know…it may make it into a future video!
Until next time, happy spreadsheeting!
Cheers, Eamonn
